Vi has established a state-of-the-art IoT lab in collaboration with C-DOT for device testing and certification according to oneM2M standards. This Lab-as-a-Service initiative from Vi Business,the enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea, is equipped to test 175+ scenarios that include network and functional testing, field testing, application testing, compatibility testing, oneM2M standard testing and more.
It can test 30+ diverse use cases across industries, such as AMI, Connected Car, POS, VTS, and more. The lab tests over 50 IoT devices and certifies them according to oneM2M and 3GPP standards for interoperability.The lab acts as an IoT ecosystem orchestrator, bringing stakeholders together to ensure a seamless IoT experience.
Vi C-DOT IoT lab runs exhaustive test plans on all devices and collaborates with component designers to resolve bugs. Currently, 5 devices have been certified as “network ready.” The lab is also testing 5G and NBIOT devices. Vi’s Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Arvind Nevatia, emphasized Vi’s commitment to IoT adoption across industries and the collaboration with C-DOT to improve the domestic IoT ecosystem and contribute to the Indian economy’s growth.
