Recently The US Congress has allocated $50 million to the State Department to reduce passport backlogs and visa wait times. Actually the rise in concerns is due to the 2026 World Cup being hosted by the US, Mexico and Canada. At the verge of tourism being deterred, the US Travel Association has applauded the Congress for this move to address the long visa queues. This is actually very good news as today US is encouraging people to visit their country without any trouble.
