Recently over unavailability of drinking water facility in Ambari Women protested with buckets

Rajganj, 25th December: An unsettling incident surfaced from Mahamaya Colony, located in Ambari under Rajganj block where women staged a protest with buckets due to the unavailability of drinking water facility in the village. According to the residents, about two years ago, taps were installed to provide drinking water to every household. The water was being supplied to the area from the Sudamgachh Water Project; however, the supply was allegedly halted after two months. Later, the matter was informed to the Local Panchayat but the issue was left resolved. Consequently, the residents were forced to drink water from the well, which prompted the women of the area to participate in the protest on Monday. Speaking in this regard, Local Panchayat member Bhaskar Sarkar stated that information has been provided to the concerned department. Actually he added that the construction of water tanks is underway in two nearby locations and further assured that the issue will be resolved soon.

This is very sad news as people are not getting water which is their basic need and making people to do protest. Today India is developing very fast and for this reason it become very important to care people basic need so that they live better. From this case it can be seen that people are not getting water and people are taking step to protest against it. In reality for any type of development we should make our basic strong and for this reason we should fulfill people basic need properly.
