Authorities in East Jaintia Hills, Meghalaya, have identified three of the four victims found brutally murdered in Umpleng. The latest identification confirms that one of the deceased is Rajesh Rai, a 26-year-old from Dharan Sunsari, Koshi Anchal, Nepal.
Earlier identifications included Ravi Rai, 23, from Elam, Mechipradesh, Nepal, and Nasar Kyndait, 33, from Dkhiah East in East Jaintia Hills. However, the identity of the fourth victim remains undisclosed at this time.
The shocking discovery unfolded on July 6th when laborers stumbled upon the bodies in a secluded area behind Umpleng market. All four men were discovered with their hands bound and bore severe injuries indicative of a brutal assault. Tragically, one victim’s injuries were so severe that his head was nearly severed.
