Amazon India is expanding its consumer awareness campaign, Mission GraHAQ, to the North-Eastern state of Meghalaya to educate and empower customers about online purchasing while also creating a trustworthy and safe experience for digital shoppers. Amazon will create interactive radio shows that will air three times a week on All India Radio. Chetan Krishnaswamy, Vice President of Public Policy at Amazon India, said, “Our customers are central to our efforts and we are committed to maintaining an online shopping environment that is convenient, rewarding and safe.”
Amazon will produce interactive radio programs broadcast thrice a week on All India Radio stations in the Khasi language. The three-month-long campaign, launched on All India Radio on October 31, aims to proactively inform and educate consumers in Meghalaya about safe online shopping and reiterate its commitment to protect consumers from bad actors. The initiative has opened avenues for many individuals to access vital information effortlessly, fostering a safer and more informed consumer environment.
Speaking about the campaign Mr. Conrad Kongkal Sangma, Honourable Chief Minister of Meghalaya, said, “It gives me great pleasure to see companies like Amazon India initiate campaigns like Mission GraHAQ focused on educating and empowering citizens to be safe online. This initiative would help ensure that consumers are well-informed and protected.”
