Zelenskyy Reports “Solid” Progress in U.S.-Led Peace Talks

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that recent negotiations in Florida have produced a “quite solid” 20-point framework for ending the war. While acknowledging that compromises are inevitable, he noted that nearly 90% of Ukraine’s core demands—including a peacetime army of 800,000 and EU membership—are present in the current draft. The proposal includes a security “backstop” from Washington and European-led forces to ensure stability on land and at sea, though Moscow continues to push for radical changes to the agreement’s territorial clauses.
