India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. unveiled a major product expansion, launching the all-new XSR155, its first electric vehicles — AEROX-E and EC-06 — and the youth-focused FZ-RAVE, reinforcing its footprint in India’s premium motorcycle and emerging EV markets. The XSR155, priced at Rs. 1,49,990 (ex-showroom Delhi), combines modern retro design with advanced engineering, featuring a 155cc liquid-cooled VVA engine, dual-channel ABS, traction control, and two accessory packages — Scrambler and Café Racer.
The AEROX-E high-performance EV and EC-06 interurban scooter mark Yamaha’s strategic push into sustainable mobility. The AEROX-E offers dual detachable batteries, a 106 km range, and smart connectivity features, while the EC-06 delivers a 160 km range with a high-capacity fixed battery and urban-friendly design. Complementing these is the FZ-RAVE, priced at Rs. 1,17,218, designed for young riders with a 149cc engine, fuel efficiency, aggressive styling, and safety-focused features.
In Kolkata, dealers report heightened interest in the XSR155 and FZ-RAVE, particularly among urban professionals and young enthusiasts seeking a blend of style and performance. The EV models are expected to appeal to environmentally conscious commuters looking for reliable, tech-enabled urban mobility solutions.
Commenting on the expansion, Mr. Itaru Otani, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group, said, “These launches strengthen our presence across premium and electric mobility segments while aligning with India’s evolving market dynamics and sustainable transportation goals.”
