India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has announced a voluntary recall of 3,06,635 units of its 125cc hybrid scooter range as part of its ongoing focus on product quality and customer safety. The recall covers scooters manufactured between May 2, 2024, and September 3, 2025, and has come into effect immediately. The company said the recall was initiated after identifying a potential concern in select units where, under certain operating conditions, the front brake caliper may show limited function. The issue impacts specific units of the RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid models. Yamaha has assured customers that the affected component will be replaced free of cost at authorised Yamaha showrooms across the country.
To check recall eligibility, customers can visit the Service section of the Yamaha Motor India website, select ‘Voluntary Recall Campaign’ under Maintenance, and enter the chassis number in the ‘Scooter 125’ category. Customers can also approach their nearest Yamaha dealership or contact the company through its toll-free number 1800-420-1600 or email support.
In Kolkata, Yamaha’s 125cc hybrid scooters hold a steady position among daily commuters and young riders. Dealers in Kolkata said service facilities are equipped to handle the recall efficiently, and the proactive move is expected to reinforce customer trust and limit any impact on sales momentum in the region.
