Alipurduar, Sep 13: A female tea garden worker was injured in a leopard attack at Kalabari tea estate in Dooars. The victim, identified as Reshma Kharia (36), is undergoing treatment at the Birpara State General Hospital in Alipurduar.
According to reports, the attack took place on Thursday when Kharia was returning home after working in a tea garden. The leopard attacked her from behind, leaving her severely injured. She has scratches and bite marks on her head, neck and other parts of the body.
After the incident, Kharia was first rushed to the Banarhat Rural Hospital for emergency care. Given the severity of his condition, he was referred to the Birpara State General Hospital for further treatment.
