Vi’s ‘Artisans of India’ initiative celebrates craftsmanship and changing lives

Telecom giant Vi has launched the “Artisans of India” initiative, providing a platform for local artisans to showcase their crafts. This initiative, in partnership with several NGOs, has brought the creations of over 60 artisans to Vi Stores across 12 states, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Gujarat.

At Kolkata’s South City store, Universal Smile displayed hand-painted cloth bags made by women, with proceeds supporting an orphanage. Meanwhile, in Gujarat, specially-abled children from the Astha Foundation showcased intricately decorated diyas, proving that art can transcend challenges.

This initiative goes beyond business—it’s about changing lives. Vi’s collaboration with NGOs like ESSCENT and Shwwas Samiti not only highlights the artisans’ skills but also uplifts their communities.Through “Artisans of India,” Vi is making a meaningful difference, bringing traditional crafts to the forefront while supporting those who need it most. The vibrant displays at Vi Stores are a reminder that India’s true wealth lies in its people, their stories, and the timeless crafts they create.
