Vi and Vitality aim to democratize access to esports ecosystem

Vi and Team Vitality have formed a strategic esports partnership in India, aiming to democratize access to the country’s esports ecosystem. The Indian esports industry is expected to grow to $140 million by 2027, and esports has gained recognition as a mainstream sport. The partnership includes brand sponsorship, content partnerships, gaming events, and unique experiences. Vi customers will have exclusive access to popular Team Vitality tournaments and teams while budding esports talent will have access to professional players, master classes, and meet-and-greets with esports talent.

Vi, known for its strong presence in the mobile games segment, will now deepen its focus on esports in India through this association with Team Vitality. Vi Games has previously hosted popular free-to-play tournaments in the esports segment, such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Free Fire Max, Asphalt 9, and Clash Royale.

The partnership aims to create opportunities for budding esports talent to participate in esports and gain exposure to professional players and esports talent.Commenting on the association, Avneesh Khosla, CMO, Vi said, “We are excited to partner with one of the leading esports organizations of the world – Team Vitality.
