Recently popular television actress Jasmin Bhasin shared on social media how her cornea was damaged while using contact lenses. After going to the doctor, she found out that the cause of this damage is actually the contact lens. How to be careful in that case?

  1. Follow proper hygiene while using lenses. Of course, wash and dry your hands well before touching the lens. Not only that, the lens should be cleaned with a specific solution after each use. 
  2. Lenses have a specific period of use. Do not avoid it in any way. Using expired lenses can cause serious eye damage.
  3. Be sure to remove the lenses while sleeping. Otherwise, the risk of infection will increase. Corneal damage is also not uncommon.
  4. Choose the right lenses for your eyes according to the doctor’s advice. Using the wrong lenses can increase your eye irritation. The cornea may be damaged. 
  5. Change lenses every three months to avoid contamination. Never wash the lens with water.
  6. If you experience any difficulty in vision, remove the lens as soon as possible. You can avoid additional damage. 
  7. Avoid wearing contact lenses daily. The eyes will also rest.
