Union Minister Annapurna Devi visited Kra Daadi District for a major visit

The Center’s dedication to the development of women and children in the area was reaffirmed during a major visit to Kra Daadi District by Annapurna Devi, the Union Minister for Women & Child Development. A high-level assessment of important Government of India programs and several public welfare events were on her schedule. On the grounds of Byabang Heri Government Higher Secondary School in Palin, the New Age Learning Centre (NALC) served as the starting point for the visit.

The Union Minister’s tour of the learning center, which included a tree planting campaign to represent the Center’s emphasis on environmental sustainability in addition to education, was accompanied by state representatives and local leaders. Additionally, Annapurna Devi visited the Self Help Group (SHG), Women & Child Development (WCD), and health exhibition booths at the General Ground in Palin. There, she engaged with local beneficiaries and promoted community-led development projects. Her involvement in the Poshan Pakhwada celebration at Nyokum Hall, Palin, which highlighted the advancements made under India’s premier nutrition program for mother and child health, was a particular highlight of the day.

Annapurna Devi visited the District Hospital in Palin to assess healthcare services and understand operational challenges. She chaired a review meeting on Government of India schemes and the Aspirational Block Programme, discussing implementation status of national initiatives. Devi appreciated the district administration’s dedication and urged for greater convergence, real-time monitoring, and community outreach to ensure welfare schemes reach every household. The visit aims to bridge policy with grassroots action in Arunachal Pradesh.
