Manipur Police have arrested three individuals, including a juvenile, in connection with recent arson cases, intensifying their probe to uncover further details. In the aftermath of an arson incident at Mantripukhri on January 26, 2025, two individuals, RK Mahesh (50) and Maibam Ishwar Raj (30), were apprehended from Imphal East District. Investigations are ongoing to determine their roles and any additional involvement in the incident.
In a separate case, a juvenile was arrested in Kakching District on January 27, 2025, for allegedly being involved in the arson and damage to properties belonging to elected representatives on November 16, 2024.
Authorities are working to establish connections between the accused and the broader scope of these cases. The police have assured that all individuals involved will be brought to justice as part of their efforts to maintain law and order in the state.
