Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) was honored with the CII-ITC Sustainability Award 2022 by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in the presence of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.The release of Toyota’s six aspirational global environmental challenges in 2015 strengthened the company’s eco-efforts in the direction of environmental sustainability. This includes achieving “Carbon Neutrality by 2050” and “Net Zero Carbon in Manufacturing Operations” by 2035, which are Toyota’s two main goals.
TKM adheres to the Learn, Perform, and Drive approach to foster an eco-mind among its employees. Through its employee volunteer program, i-CARE, employees engage in eco-activities such as plant seeding, land clean-up, making bird nests from plastic bottles, and reaching out to more than 59,000 people. Toyota is committed to achieving harmony between its manufacturing activities and the environment by optimizing natural resources and operating in harmony with the natural environment.
The CII-ITC Sustainability Awards recognize and reward businesses that strive to be more sustainable and inclusive.
