Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced that its popular MPV, the InnovaHyCross, has been awarded a prestigious 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP). The certification was handed over today in New Delhi by Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to TKM executives Vikram Gulati and SudeepDalvi.
Built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, the HyCross is packed with safety features including Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), six airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, ISOFIX mounts, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, positioning it among the safest vehicles in its segment.
Local dealers report a surge in interest. Customers in Meghalaya’s capital are especially drawn to the HyCross’s self-charging hybrid technology and enhanced safety suite. With over 1.35 lakh units sold since its 2022 debut, the HyCross continues to blend safety, performance, and sustainability—strengthening Toyota’s leadership in India’s evolving automotive landscape.
