The Solapur Garment Manufacturers Association (SGMA) is set to hold its first international uniform and garment exhibition in Varanasi. The exhibition will take place at the Shri Kashi Varanasi Din Dayal Handicraft Complex from December 16th to 18th. Taking forward PM Narendra Modi’s dream of major growth in uniform industry across the country and making Solapur in Maharashtra the hub of it, the SGMA has decided to take its annual exhibition to Varanasi.
The SGMA aims to attract 200 leading brands and showcase over 10,000 designs of uniform clothes and 20,000 designs of uniform garments. The 7th Uniform Exhibition will take place in Kashi Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, from December 16th to 18th, 2023. The initiative, inspired by Modi’s words, is set to take the event to a newer scale.
SGMA’s Shri Satish Pawar has been appointed as Chairman and Shri Prakash Pawar as Secretary to shoulder the responsibility of the exhibition. The World Uniform Market in 2020 was 6.2 billion, in 2021 it was 8.4 billion $, and in 2030 it is expected to touch 25 billion $ says Prakash Pawar – Secretary of the Organising committee.
