The 3rdDigital EWG Meeting concludes in Pune

The third meeting of the Digital Economy Working Group came to an end on June 14, 2023, in Pune.  It saw deliberations on digital security, cyber security, securing Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), and the digital economy.  60 international professionals participated in 10 discussion sessions on DPI and shared their opinions. 300 senior delegates, 150 foreign delegates, and international organizations were present.  

On the sidelines of the meeting, G20 representatives discussed DigiLocker’s stall at meeting, including the Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and IT and the President of the National e-Governance Division. The last day of the meeting focused on digital skilling and security, as well as a presentation on the Toolkit for Cyber Awareness.

India’s initiatives such as COWIN, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System, and Soil Health Card were showcased. The declaration will be finalized in the 4th Working Group Meeting in August 2023. The Government of Maharashtra organized a cultural program for G-20 delegates at Savitribai Phule Pune University, featuring authentic Maratha games and classical dance performances.
