Tata Motors commercial vehicle sales jump 32% YoY in February 2026

Tata Motors Limited reported a robust performance in February 2026, registering a 32 per cent year-on-year rise in total commercial vehicle sales. The company sold 42,940 units across domestic and international markets during the month, compared to 32,533 units in February 2025. Segment-wise, HCV truck sales stood at 13,559 units in February 2026, up from 9,892 units a year earlier, reflecting a growth of 37.1 per cent. ILMCV truck sales rose to 7,577 units from 5,652 units, registering a 34.1 per cent increase. Passenger carrier sales were recorded at 5,548 units compared to 4,355 units in February 2025, marking a growth of 27.4 per cent. Meanwhile, the SCV cargo and pickup segment reported sales of 14,209 units against 10,898 units in the same period last year, up 30.4 per cent.

Domestic sales reached 40,893 units in February 2026 compared to 30,797 units in February 2025, showing a 32.8 per cent rise, while international business recorded sales of 2,047 units, up 17.9 per cent from 1,736 units. Domestic MH&ICV sales stood at 21,423 units against 15,940 units a year ago, growing 34.4 per cent, while combined domestic and international MH&ICV sales rose to 22,512 units from 16,693 units, marking a 34.9 per cent increase. Kolkata continues to witness steady demand for commercial vehicles, driven by rising logistics movement, infrastructure projects and increased goods transportation across eastern India. The region’s expanding trade and distribution network has contributed to stronger demand for trucks, cargo vehicles and passenger carriers, supporting the broader growth momentum seen by manufacturers such as Tata Motors.
