Tata AIA Life Insurance introduces digital payments via WhatsApp and Unified Payment Interfaces, enhancing consumer obsession and offering instant premium payments through WhatsApp and UPI-enabled options. The newly added payment option is first-of-its-kind in the insurance industry. The seamless process enables digital premium payments, quick confirmation, and acknowledgement, making it easy for both tech and non-tech-savvy consumers, providing a hassle-free premium payment experience.
WhatsApp and UPI have become household messaging and payment facilities, respectively, in India. The country has close to 500 million WhatsApp users today and more than 300 million UPI users. Tata AIA utilizes new-age platforms for premium payment, offering consumers convenience and ease of transaction through their preferred modes, demonstrating penetration and adherence to these platforms.
Tata AIA improved its Net Promoter Score (NPS) to 68 in FY23 by focusing on real-time listening, RCA framework, and measuring CSAT and Effort scores across touchpoints.
