Karthik Gurumurthy, head of popular e-commerce service Swiggy Instamart, will step down at the end of April, the top executive confirmed in a LinkedIn post on Friday.
Gurumurthy plans to go on a vacation. “I have loved being a part of this journey but it has been a tough journey with a lot of compromises in physical and mental fitness. I am planning to take a break now to come back fresh and build something (0-1), which I have. Like…live and playback those memories in 2020 and 2021,” his LinkedIn post read.
He added, “Today the business continues to grow, we have great relationships with our brand partners and some of our stores are already profitable, it just feels like how the seed germinated in a specimen and is now a big strong tree.”
He added that the journey was arduous and involved “a lot of compromises in terms of physical and mental well-being”.
