The urgent creation of a distinct and independent Inner Line Permit (ILP) Commission with the goal of putting in place a thorough and reliable system to oversee and control entry into Nagaland has been suggested by the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF). This type of panel should be in charge of examining, enhancing, and rigorously enforcing ILP protocols with all the required processes in place, according to a letter sent to the chief secretary by NSF President Medovi Rhi and General Secretary Chumben Khuvung.
In order to guarantee a cooperative and sustainable approach, they also recommended that the commission’s establishment be completed in six months, after careful engagement with all pertinent parties. In order to prevent unlawful entrance, they expressed confidence that the new commission will strictly enforce ILP regulations by making sure that ILP standards are followed in every district. It is impossible to exaggerate how crucial it is to create an independent ILP Commission in order to protect the nation’s integrity, identity, and security. The leaders of the NSF expressed their eagerness for the chief secretary to provide their representation fast and positive attention.
