SMFG India Credit Sets Guinness World Record for Largest Cattle Welfare Lesson

SMFG India Credit has achieved a Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest Cattle Welfare Lesson (Multiple Venues)’ with 517 participants across six locations as part of the 7th Pashu Vikas Day (PVD). This event, held simultaneously in 500 locations across 16 states, benefited approximately 190,000 individuals, including 150,000 cattle and 40,000 owners.

Under the theme ‘Mera Pashu Mera Parivar,’ the PVD underscores the vital role of livestock in rural livelihoods, with over 6,000 employees actively participating. CEO Mr. Shantanu Mitra highlighted the company’s commitment to social initiatives and rural welfare, while COO Mr. Swaminathan Subramanian celebrated the record as a defining moment for the organization. 

This year’s PVD adds to SMFG’s legacy of world records in cattle care, reaffirming its dedication to empowering rural communities through financial inclusion and innovative solutions.
