The Sikkim Finance and Accounts Service Association convened its General Body Meeting at Hotel Rendezvous in Gangtok, marking a significant event in the association’s calendar. The gathering was highlighted by the presence of Smt. Pamin Lepcha, Hon’ble Advisor to the Social Justice and Welfare Department and Women and Child Welfare Department, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was further honored by the attendance of Shri V. B. Pathak, Chief Secretary, as the Guest of Honour.
During the meeting, the association bid an emotional farewell to forty retiring members, recognizing their years of dedicated service and significant contributions. These members were celebrated for their professionalism and commitment, which have left a lasting impact on the association. In a move that underscores the association’s growth, fifty-six new members were welcomed, reflecting the organization’s continuous expansion and dedication to upholding high standards in financial management and public service.
A pivotal moment in the meeting was the dissolution of the Old Executive Committee, led by the former President, Shri Binod Sharma, Director (Accounts). The dissolution was supervised by the One-Man Election Committee, chaired by Shri Rajendra Sharma, Principal Director (Accounts). Subsequently, a new Executive Committee was formed, with Shri Tsetan Dorjee Bhutia, Principal Director (Accounts), elected as the new President. The General Body also approved an expansion of the executive team, adding three new members to strengthen the leadership. In a special gesture, the newly formed executive body extended their congratulations to the Hon’ble Chief Minister on the overwhelming public mandate secured in the recent General Elections. They pledged to align their efforts with his visionary leadership for the state’s development.
