Farmers in West Bengal are lauding Shriram Super 4466 paddy seeds from Shriram Farm Solutions, a unit of DCM Shriram Limited, for enhancing productivity despite climate challenges. The modern research-developed variety is gaining traction for its robust stem, long grain spikes, disease resistance, and high yield with less water.
Nurjaman Mandal, a farmer from Murshidabad, noted, “The medium-coarse grains of Shriram Super 4466 yield well. This variety needs less water, resists diseases, and doesn’t fall. I urge other farmers to adopt it.”Similarly, Zakir Hussain from Boitra, North Dinajpur, has been cultivating Shriram Super 4466 for four years. He praised its heavier grains and more bud bursts, stating, “I am very satisfied with the results and recommend Shriram Super 4466 to fellow farmers.”
