Shriram Super 4466 boosts paddy productivity for Bihar farmers amid changing climate

Farmers in Bihar are reporting increased productivity with the use of Shriram Super 4466 paddy seeds, introduced by Shriram Farm Solutions, a unit of DCM Shriram Limited. This new paddy variety, developed through modern research, is gaining popularity due to its robust characteristics. Shriram Super 4466 is noted for its strong stem, long spikes, abundant grains, disease tolerance, and high yield in less time and with less water. These attributes have made it a preferred choice not only in Bihar but also in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh.

Vinay Kumar, a progressive farmer from Nalanda, Bihar, highlights that Shriram Super 4466 produces 12-14 tillers and is disease-resistant, offering more production in less time. He encourages fellow farmers to adopt this seed variety to maximize their yields. Raja Paswan, a farmer from Saran, shares his positive experience with Shriram Super 4466. He points out that each ear of the paddy contains about 250 grains, has long spikes, and the crop matures in 123-128 days without falling. Paswan is highly satisfied with the results and recommends other farmers to use Shriram Super 4466.

In addition to Shriram Super 4466, other products from Shriram Farm Solutions, such as Shriram Super 7711, 4400, 505, and 4433, have also gained popularity among farmers for their excellent performance.
