Shopsy by Flipkart, India’s fastest-growing hyper-value e-commerce platform, recently concluded the third edition of its mega shopping carnival – The Grand Shopsy Mela. Shopsy saw increased participation from Bharat, with local sellers from across the country serving millions of customers. The event boosted economic growth for lakhs of regional sellers in Tier 2+ cities. Shopsy plans to bring its value-based products to Tier 2 to Tier 4 markets during Flipkart’s The Big Billion Days 2023.
Shopsy experienced a significant increase in customers during the festive season, with a 2X growth in customers on the platform. The highest orders were made in tier 2 and tier 3 markets, with Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Maharashtra contributing the most. Over 60% of the customers were from Tier 3+ cities.
Shopsy aims to provide an extensive range of products at affordable prices and a value-based platform, aiming to create a community that equalizes the playing field of commerce in India.
