On Wednesday, a video from Manipur violence has been surfing over the internet and the whole nation is on shock seeing the humiliation done towards the Kuki community in Manipur by the Meitei mob.
In the video two women were being parade naked by thousands of Meitei mob together and gang raped one woman who was 21 years old. Along with it a video was made while walking naked through the streets, the incident took place on May 4, 2023 the second day since the violence started in the state Manipur.
The Assam Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee (APMCC) has come up protesting the shocking incident. Assam Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee president Mira Borthakur Goswami stated, “The way the two unfortunate women in Manipur were stripped naked, paraded around in glaring daylight is not only an attack on civilized society but an affront to our humanitarian values as well. We have no language strong enough to condemn it.”
Many opposition parties, leaders, public figures etc have condemned the viral video and is questioning the running government regarding the incident.
