The Naga People’s Front (NPF) recently held an installation and oath-taking ceremony for its Shamator Division office-bearers, marking the beginning of their tenure from 2025 to 2030. The event took place at the Cultural Hall in Shamator, attended by senior leaders from the NPF’s central headquarters, and the oath was administered by M. Rukkimong, the Senior Vice President and In-charge of the Shamator Division. In their addresses to the gathering, party leaders emphasized the importance of unity, organizational discipline, and the need for strengthening grassroots connections, with S. Keoshu Yimkhiung, the Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, underscoring the critical role of political leadership in fostering youth development. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and a blessing.
Additionally, the party had previously inaugurated its divisional office in the newly formed district of Shamator on Tuesday. Achumbemo Kikon, the NPF secretary general, expressed that the opening of this office signifies the party’s long-term dedication to the region. Kikon also noted NPF’s expansion efforts beyond Nagaland, highlighting their presence with five MLAs in Manipur and operational efforts in Arunachal Pradesh, along with initiatives currently underway in Assam.
