Senapati Launches District-Level Training Programme for Census Work

A three-day District Level Training for Census 2027: House listing and Housing Census (HLO) commenced at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Senapati. Jointly organized by the Directorate of Census Operations, Manipur, and the District Administration of Senapati, the training is overseen by Principal Census Officer Mamoni Doley, IAS. During the event, Doley highlighted the importance of the census exercise, noting that the 16th census, originally set for 2021, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She encouraged participants to engage actively in their training and emphasized the need for cooperation between Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) and the staff to ensure the successful implementation of Census 2027. Training sessions, led by Joseph Lanah and Yeveinai Kh from the Directorate of Census Operations, include topics such as the introduction to Census 2027, roles of census functionaries, legal provisions, fund management, manpower, publicity activities, and methods involved in census procedures. Participants also received hands-on training on the Census Management and Monitoring System, including user registration and module features. The program was attended by additional officials, including the Additional District Magistrate and various District Officers and staff.
