A vast cache of guns and ammunition was recovered as a result of security personnel conducting area domination exercises and search operations in the vulnerable and outlying areas of Manipur’s hill and valley districts. The potential armament concealed in the area was further highlighted by the discovery of 40 live rounds of ammunition and two AK-47 magazines during the search. Additionally, the troops discovered two cell phones, one charger, and three homemade explosive devices.
They found a.22 rifle with a magazine, two 9mm handguns made in the nation with magazines, and a locally made launcher called a “Pompi.” Five tear gas shells and two smoke grenades were among the other items found during the raid. Particularly, these relics were found in the Kakching district’s Utangpokpi Hill area.
