In a joint operation on December 12, security forces, including police and Assam Rifles, arrested four armed individuals, one of whom was identified as a cadre of the Kuki National Front (KNF), for terrorizing villagers in Laijang, Churachandpur district.
The arrested individuals are:

Weapons and ammunition recovered during the operation include:
1 MA-1 Mk I (Myanmar) assault rifle
1 air gun
40 live rounds of ammunition
22 fired cartridges
1 unregistered SUV
A case has been registered at the Churachandpur police station under relevant sections of the BNS and the Arms Act.
In simultaneous operations across fringe and vulnerable areas in the hill and valley districts, security forces recovered additional weapons and explosives from Keirao Khunou, Imphal East District. Items seized included:
MA4 assault rifle, pistols, and a 12-bore gun
5 hand grenades and 2 detonators
Ammunition of various calibers
Satellite internet equipment and cables
