On January 4, security forces arrested Mahesh Sarangthem (19), an active cadre of RPF/PLA, at his residence in Kairembikhok Maiyai Leikai, Thoubal district. Additionally, on the same day, Laishram Kullabi Meitei (35) @ Ronel, another RPF/PLA cadre and extortionist, was apprehended at his home in Liwa Road Kha Maibam Leikai, Imphal West district, with two mobile phones seized. Earlier, on January 3, Laishram Jiban Singh (45) of Heirok Part-II, Chingol, was arrested in Thoubal district, with a mobile handset and SIM card recovered from him. Furthermore, security forces detained Tensubam Bangkim Singh @ Chak-thekpa @ Mangang Punshiba (25), an active cadre of KCP (Taibanganba), in Kongba Khunou, Imphal East district, where a 9 mm pistol, four live rounds, and a mobile phone were confiscated. Ongoing operations include extensive searches and area domination across districts, with a total of 111 Nakas/Checkpoints established throughout Manipur, although no additional detentions were reported.
