Schools in Assam’s Kamrup (Metro) district, which primarily consists of Guwahati city, have reverted to their regular timings from Friday with the weather conditions improving. Authorities had revised school hours, postponing the start of classes by an hour across all schools in Kamrup (Metro) district from January 6 due to cold weather. A latest order by the District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO) said it had been decided that all government and private schools in Kamrup (Metro) district will resume their normal school timings with effect from Friday.
