Save Earth Mission, one of the world’s fastest-growing environmental movements, has announced an ambitious global plantation drive set to roll out across over 60 countries in August 2025. The initiative was unveiled during the organization’s Global Vision event at GIFT City Club in Ahmedabad, attended by climate leaders, government delegates, and environmentalists.
The mega campaign aims to unite millions globally to plant trees, restore ecosystems, and advance toward a net-zero future. Sandeep Choudhary, President of Save Earth Mission – India, called it a “planetary revolution,” emphasizing, “We are not just planting trees; we are planting hope.” Dr. Ajay Desai, International Advisor – Corporate Affairs, underlined the urgency, stating that environmental conservation is now a shared global responsibility.
With a goal to plant 30 billion trees by 2040, the drive includes real-time geo-tagging, localised plantation strategies, and support from governments and civil society. It builds upon the organization’s previous Guinness World Record for planting over 500,000 trees in an hour. In Bhubaneswar, where civic bodies and green activists have been promoting sustainable urban forestry, the announcement has generated optimism. Local officials expect the campaign to bolster citywide afforestation efforts and inspire youth participation under the global hashtags like #OneTreeOneWorld and #EkPedMaaKeNaam.
