Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company in industrial automation and digital transformation, has completed a nationwide solar energy access project in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity India. The project supports schools and families in Assam, Delhi NCR, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal with renewable energy through rooftop solar systems. The panels will generate over 20 units of electricity per day, helping meet energy needs and saving on utility bills.
The installation has been completed at Gurukul Academy in Balijokaibowa, Majuli Island district, Mairapur (Garo Basti), Rani, and Kamrup Rural, Assam. Bankati and Malandighi village of Kanksa Block at Durgapur, West Bengal. Government Primary School and the Holy Family School at Ghaziabad in Delhi NC. Tiruvallur district in Tamil Nadu, and Government Model Higher Secondary School in Alamathi and Avadi. The project is ongoing in Maharashtra.
Habitat for Humanity India provided orientation and demonstrations on solar power usage and maintenance. Rockwell Automation India’s managing director, Dilip Sawhney, praised the partnership with Habitat for Humanity India for expanding human potential and cultivating sustainable societies.
