Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced the appointment of Ritesh Khosla as its new General Counsel, effective September 1, 2024. Khosla takes over from Ashok Nambissan, who is retiring after a distinguished tenure.
Khosla, who has been with SPNI for six years as Deputy General Counsel, brings over two decades of legal expertise in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, regulatory frameworks, compliance, corporate governance, complex litigation, and intellectual property rights. In his new role, Khosla will manage SPNI’s Corporate Relations, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, and oversee the company’s legal risks and compliance initiatives.
Khosla is expected to strengthen SPNI’s legal infrastructure, enhance compliance, especially in digital and intellectual property domains, and lead Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts.
