In an unusual turn of events, a gang of thieves recently broke into a hotel on Sevoke Road, Siliguri, and feasted on the food before making off with various items. In fact the incident was discovered early on Saturday morning when the hotel owner arrived to open the establishment. Reportedly, upon arrival, the owner actually found that the hotel’s walls had been cut through. Several utensils and other items were missing. It appears the thieves took their time, eating the food available in the hotel before proceeding with the theft.
As per the hotel owner, all employees had left for home after closing the hotel on Friday night. The break-in was discovered when the hotel was reopened on Saturday morning. The owner immediately informed the Bhakti Nagar police station, and police officers arrived at the scene to begin their investigation. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible for the theft.
