Recently Manipur clinched as many as 4 medals including a gold medal at the Khelo India Women’s Fencing League being organised by the Fencing Association of India and Sports Authority of India at IG Sports Complex, New Delhi.
Actually the only gold medal for the State was registered by Th Anita in the individual foil event. In fact she bagged a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for her gold medal feat. At the same time W Sonia (foil individual), Shrimayum Robert Sharma (senior men’s epee) and Chingtham Ronaldo (junior men’s foil) won a bronze medal each to claim Rs 30,000 respectively. This is actually very good news as today Manipur is winning so many medals and creating new records. People should encourage this player so that better performance made in future and people get engaged in good activities. Actually to win these medals they have to work very hard and after everything they are getting this result which is needed to be praised.
