Priya Nair Appointed first female CEO & MD of HUL, effective August 1, 2025

According to a statement released by Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), Priya Nair, who is currently Unilever’s President of Beauty and Well-Being, will take over as HUL’s CEO and Managing Director on August 1, 2025. She will be the FMCG major’s first female CEO and MD. Subject to obtaining the required approvals, she will also join the HUL Board and remain a member of the Unilever Leadership Executive. According to a filing from the company, Rohit Jawa will leave his position as CEO and MD on July 31, 2025, in order to focus on the next phase of his career and personal life.

Ms. Nair began working with HUL in 1995 and has held a number of sales and marketing positions in the personal care, beauty and well-being, and home care industries. Because of her efforts, she was promoted to Executive Director of Home Care at HUL from 2014 to 2020 and then Executive Director of Beauty & Personal Care at HUL from 2020 to 2022.

She later joined Unilever as the Global Chief Marketing Officer for Beauty & Well-Being. In 2023, Mr. Jawa became HUL’s MD and CEO. Volume-led competitive growth was achieved by the company throughout his more than two-year leadership. He unveiled the “ASPIRE” strategy, which is propelling the company to restructure its channels and portfolio in order to focus on high-growth demand areas.
