MSDE is conducting the Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela (PMNAM) on May 8th, 2023 in 200+ districts across the country to boost career opportunities for India’s youth under the vision of PM Narendra Modi’s Skill India Mission. Local businesses and organizations are invited to participate in an apprenticeship mela to provide relevant training opportunities to local youth.
Through a single platform, participating organizations can connect with potential apprentices and strengthen livelihood opportunities. Apprenticeship melas are held on the second Monday of every month, offering individuals to gain skills and provide candidates with NCVET-recognized certifications, improving their employability rate after the training sessions.The government is striving to train 15 lakh youth per annum through apprenticeship training and to fulfill this mission, PMNAM is an initiative that will increase the participation of establishments and the youth.
This apprenticeship mela is open to Class 5 to 12 pass-outs, ITI certificate holders, Diploma holders, or graduates. Candidates must bring three copies of their resume, mark sheets and certificates, photo ID, and passport-size photographs to the respective venues. Through the mela, candidates will also earn NCVET-recognized certifications, improving their employability rate.
