On Monday, a bike lifter named Santosh Jaiswal was encountered in Charaideo district, Assam.
According to the sources, Jaiswal was a seasoned bike lifter who had been convicted under the Arms Act. Since last two years the deceased has been missing.
On February 19, the police received intelligence input and discovered the accused was in Sonari at his in-laws’ residence. When the police team tried to chase the accused, he fired multiple shots.
During the incident, Police also fired him back due to which he got encountered.
