Arunachal Pradesh Police arrested Soribuddin Ahmed from Assam’s Lakhimpur district for cheating a woman in an online fraud case. Posing as a trader named “MD Ashiqul Alom,” he offered iron rods at unusually low prices, leading the victim to pay Rs 90,000 in advance without receiving the goods. The arrest was conducted by a team from Papu Hills police station, under the leadership of Inspector Gejum Basar. Naharlagun SP Nyelam Nega issued a public advisory, urging citizens to be cautious with online transactions, avoid advance payments to unknown sellers, and report any cyber fraud to the Cyber Helpline 1930.
