Police conducted an operation in Aizawl leading to the arrest of four suspects linked to vehicle thefts. The individuals, originally from Karimganj and Patharkandi in Assam, were taken into custody while authorities were investigating a case of two-wheeler theft registered at the Bawngkawn police station. They were residing in the Durtlang area of Aizawl. During interrogation, the suspects admitted to their involvement in numerous vehicle thefts, revealing that they had sold several stolen motorcycles in Silchar, Assam. Additionally, police were able to recover a stolen motorcycle from the Zuangtui area on Monday, alongside two more bikes that had been stolen during the night between Sunday and Monday. Law enforcement agencies are actively working to recover the remaining motorcycles reported as stolen.
