Expressing pride about the role played by the people of Manipur towards India’s development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted the people of Manipur on its Statehood day on Tuesday. In a post on X, he wrote, “Greetings to the people of Manipur on their Statehood Day. We are incredibly proud of the role played by the people of Manipur towards India’s development. My best wishes for the progress of Manipur.”
Extending greetings on the occasion of 53rd Statehoid Day to the beloved people, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh said, “It was on this day in 1972 that Manipur became a full-fledged state of the Indian Union, marking a significant milestone in our history. On this momentous day, let us pledge to work collectively to uphold the pride and dignity of our beautiful state.”
