Parle Products partners with IBM to accelerate digital transformation

IBM announced the expansion of its collaboration with Parle Products, the largest selling biscuit brand in India, to further the company’s digital transformation journey. By deploying cloud and AI for business solutions through the course of engagement, Parle was able to reduce sourcing cost, enhance sales forecast accuracy, lower cost to serve and optimize overall IT infrastructure.

Parle faced challenges in their supply and distribution network due to non-differentiated strategies across products, channel, and fulfilment approaches before embarking on the transformation journey. Parle, through its 2014 partnership with IBM, has successfully enhanced operational efficiencies by leveraging IBM Consulting’s cloud and AI capabilities. Sanjay Joshi, CIO, Parle Products said, “With IBM Consulting, we are poised to unlock newer avenues of growth and remain at the forefront of industry evolution.”

IBM Consulting is partnering with Microsoft to implement Azure Databricks Lakehouse, an AI engine for Auto Replenishment, and SAP Ariba solutions at Parle, enhancing operational resilience, agility, and scalability by leveraging the Azure platform for data insights.
