Recently the 14th Board of Governors (BOG) meeting of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Society, Imphal was held on January 17, 2024 at Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi. Actually the meeting was chaired by Dr Mansukh L Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India who is the President of Board of Governors, said a release issued by RIMS Imphal. In fact Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director represented RIMS Imphal as a member secretary.
In reality Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh, Health Minister of Manipur; Prof N Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor, Manipur University and representatives from other North Eastern states also attended the meeting. Actually the meeting discussed various agenda including upgrading RIMS, Imphal to the status of Institute of National Importance (INI). Actually right now Medical Science has great importance and people need to study it so that everyone lives a better life. This meeting is actually very good as today Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) Society, Imphal is getting importance and everyone will get benefit from it.
