The National Stock Exchange (NSE) proudly announced the listing of the first five Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) on its Social Stock Exchange (SSE) platform. Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), Transform Rural India, Mukti, Ekalavya Foundation, and SGBS Unnati Foundation stepped into the SSE spotlight, shining a light on the transformative power of education.
The SSE platform, envisioned as a catalyst for social change, celebrates the pivotal role of education in empowering individuals and communities. The ringing of the bell at the NSE headquarters in Mumbai marked not only the beginning of a new chapter in impact-driven finance but also a renewed commitment to educational excellence.
With approximately INR 8 Crore mobilized through these inaugural listings, the SSE platform is poised to fuel educational initiatives across India, from skill development programs to initiatives promoting women’s empowerment.Notable among the attendees was the presence of Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon’ble Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Government of India, who commended the NSE’s initiative in fostering impactful finance mechanisms for social welfare.
