A new chapter is being written in the financial academia as the NSE Emerge platform crosses the Rs. 1,00,000 Crore market capitalization threshold, turning into a live case study on fostering the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Since its inaugural lesson plan in 2012, NSE Emerge has proven to be a masterclass, guiding 397 companies through the intricate lessons of market dynamics.
This educational odyssey has seen these SMEs collectively raise over Rs. 7,800 Crores, with the Nifty SME EMERGE Index playing the role of an academic performance index, showcasing a commendable Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 39.78% until November 2023. The curriculum also includes a migration module, with 138 companies successfully advancing to the NSE mainboard platform after meeting rigorous academic criteria.
Shri Sriram Krishnan, Chief Business Development Officer, NSE, affirms, “NSE Emerge listed companies crossing one lakh crore market capitalization is akin to our students graduating with flying colors, showcasing their ability to apply financial knowledge in the real world.”
