National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Fenice Energy, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, have commenced a partnership to provide up skilling and micro-entrepreneurship opportunities in the green energy sector. The partnership will aid and accelerate in the transition to cleaner sources of energy in our country. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to ensure that more than 1-lakh learners are trained in various skill sets required in the renewable energy sector.
The program is aimed at two key development objectives for India: creating robust opportunities to develop jobs/micro-entrepreneurs and tackling the climate crisis. Through this partnership, both entities will identify candidates for upskilling and coach them through an e-learning platform and practical coursework. The program is directed to train learners in Sales & Marketing modules, Installation and Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance and Software Design.
Engagements with various training partners and skilling agencies are underway to mobilize candidates, deliver high quality training, and ensure absorption into a ‘green workforce’. Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC said, “My vision is to witness our country’s youth leading the world’s transition to green energy.”
